Sormeh Firouzabad Mining and Processing Company began its operations in 1996 (1375 in the Persian calendar) at the Kouh Sormeh mine, the only active lead and zinc mine in southern Iran. By utilizing mechanized equipment, specialized personnel, and targeted investment, the company has transformed traditional extraction methods into modern approaches.

Today, the Sormeh Processing Plant is considered the largest producer of lead and zinc concentrate in southern Iran. The implementation of development plans, attention to environmental protection, and the establishment of an HSE management system are among the prominent features of this complex.
